[16:08:03] <thebolt> so how're everyone doing tday?
[16:08:22] caedes changed nick to: caedes|afk
[16:08:46] <iceeey> good
[16:08:57] <iceeey> going to study soon
[16:09:07] <thebolt> yea, i should get back to that too
[16:09:23] <thebolt> just been going all bad today though, but i should be able to do another hour or two..
[16:09:31] <iceeey> okay
[16:12:01] <iceeey> i have a plan at least.. if i stick to it, i should be good :)
[16:15:32] <thebolt> Hehe
[16:15:40] <thebolt> so what is the subject of todays studies?
[16:17:23] <iceeey> art history, math, then CS
[16:19:49] <thebolt> art history sounds less fun than maths ;)
[16:20:44] <iceeey> heh
[16:21:02] <iceeey> it's surely a lot easier :)
[16:22:48] <thebolt> nah, sounds like asubject where you have to remember a lot of things..
[16:23:01] <thebolt> maths is easy, just some very few rules to remember, then the rest follows :)
[16:24:09] <iceeey> yeah, but a lot of rules :)
[16:24:59] <thebolt> nah, there aren't that many
[16:25:46] <thebolt> in analysis i would think that a single sheet of rules could cover everything from real, single variable analysis, multivariable, and complex variable analysis ;)
[16:25:58] <thebolt> the rest is just derived from there
[16:27:01] <iceeey> I've always wanted to make a kind of hierarchy of math rules so that you could solve any problem by breaking down the complexity and being redirected to certain rules
[16:28:49] <thebolt> well, at least to me that is how maths works? (like the entire subject of geometry can be reduced to euclids 23 definition, 5 postulates and 5 axioms..)
[16:29:59] <iceeey> yes, it's not that hard in general, but it seems the way they teach it to you is very peripherally
[16:31:17] <thebolt> well, at least in the course of complex analysis here it was very much bottom up, starting with extending the real multivariable analysis one step at a time (lots of proofs and derivations for theorems)
[16:32:00] <iceeey> a lot of the time, it seems like they don't give you enough context for what you're learning
[16:32:33] <thebolt> guess that depends what you are studying and where
[16:32:38] <iceeey> yep
[16:33:44] <iceeey> anyway, this is distracting me
[16:33:48] <iceeey> so, cu later
[16:33:50] <thebolt> me too, cya :)
